More Great News!

I am proud to report that our school has received another grant. In early April, I submitted a grant request to Walmart for funds that would be used to begin the purchase of a working greenhouse for our school. Poland Union received a $2,000 check today that will certainly get our project off the ground. We have received $2,500 in the past six days. I'll be sure to keep you posted on our latest project's progress.

Today's 3rd Grade Talent Show went very well. I'd like to thank those who participated. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to perform in front of a group. They should all be proud. I'd also like to thank those who were able to attend. I know our performers appreciated you being here today. Great job Mrs. Walkama and Mrs. Kountz.

Have a great week.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

We're Down to 6!

It's hard to believe that we have only 6 more days of school before summer vacation. Next week is a busy one. Be sure to check out our school's calendar for upcoming events. Report cards will go home next Friday.

Our 4th graders had a very interesting day. They listened to the 5th grade band, enjoyed a question and answer session with Mr. Kempers, ate lunch at Fireman's Field and spent the rest of the afternoon bowling with their new friends from North and Dobbins. They should sleep well tonight.

Enjoy the weekend.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

A Perfect Day!

Today's weather could not have been nicer. I hope it is as nice for our 4th graders tomorrow. They will be traveling to PSHS and Camelot Lanes. Many of our students talked about wearing the t-shirts they received at the 4th Grade Recognition Program. I think that is a fantastic idea.

Our 3rd Grade Talent Show will take place on Monday, June 6th. I'd like to thank Mrs. Kountz and Mrs. Walkama for all of their hard work. They have organized this year's event. In addition to the 3rd grade show, our 4th graders will have their chance to showcase some of their many talents on Wednesday., June 8th.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci

Great News!

I am happy to report that our school has received a $500.00 grant from the Ohio Division of Natural Resources. Since my arrival in March, I have applied for numerous grants. Despite a dismal economy, there is a lot of money being given away in the world. I'll go after as much of it as I can. The money will be used to continue our environmental education program.

It's no secret that I would love for our school to construct a working greenhouse. I know for a fact that it would have a tremendous impact on all of our students. Several of the grants I have already applied for could be used for this purpose. I will be sure to keep you posted.

Our 4th graders are looking forward to Friday. In the morning, they will head out to PSHS to listen to the 5th grade band and thier new principal. Mr. Kempers will answer many of their questions and get them excited about their new school. Afterwards, our 4th graders will join those at North and Dobbins for a bowling party at Camelot Lanes.

Thanks,
Mr. Masucci
